Washington DC Smart Lipo Procedure and Recovery
In Smart Lipo MPX, fat is removed through a one millimeter tube or “cannula.” A laser fiber contained within the tube directs energy to fat cells with two different wavelengths. The laser energy causes the fat cells to rupture and turn to liquid, and they are then drained away by way of the cannula. At the same time, the dual laser wavelengths cause the collagen in the skin to contract, smoothing and tightening it. As a result, Smart Lipo MPX firms the skin while removing fat. This offers a huge benefit to our patients because it reduces the need for follow-up surgeries to remove excess skin.
Compared with traditional liposuction, Smart Lipo MPX is gentler and safer than because it uses a smaller cannula.
